Most Climate Skeptics are pro-environmentalists who believe in natural climate cycles

The Climate Scare was a scam designed to extort money by telling people they had to “pay”, in order to survive.

A paper published today in Global Environmental Change finds that “a central organising idea for climate change sceptics” is that climate change is governed by natural cycles, such as ocean oscillations and solar activity, and that “‘sceptics can have pro-environmental values similar to climate change believers.

According to the authors, “In contrast to other studies that postulate scepticism and denial as individuals’ fear management strategies in the face of climate change threat, we found that the natural cycles view is founded on a reassuring deeper conviction about how nature works, and is linked to other pro-environmental values not commonly found in sceptical groups. It is a paradox of natural cycles thinking that it rejects the anthropocentrism that is at the heart of science-based environmentalism. By contrast, it places humans as deeply integrated with nature, rather than operating outside it and attempting with uncertain…

Secret report on wind farms to reveal turbines have slashed ‘billions’ from the value of rural homes
The Daily Mail
23 August 2013

Wind farms have slashed ‘billions’ from the value of rural homes, a secret Government report is expected to disclose.

The Coalition is in conflict over the critical document on renewable energy because it could prove they damage countryside communities.

Liberal Democrat ministers have been accused of trying to suppress the report, commissioned by Environment Secretary Owen Paterson, because it concentrates on ‘ideology’ not science, sources have said.

Today more details of the document have emerged, and it is believed to reveal the impact wind farms have on rural house prices.

Mr Paterson described wind farms as a ‘complete scam’ in June and is said to be furious at attempts to hold back his report.

Consultants Frontier Economics were brought in to establish the loss to house prices…

Paying for no wind energy sounds like Python sketch

There are so many things I could “not do” for the province, if they would only pay me….

It’s one thing for Ontario’s wind turbine owners to be paid extravagantly for the electricity they produce, but it’s quite another for them to be paid not to produce electricity. But that’s what’s happening. As of Wednesday, Ontario has been paying its wind generators not to produce electricity. The government says the deal will actually save money, because the turbine operators will halt production when the province’s electricity system is in surplus.

Energy Minister Bob Chiarelli says turbine operators will be paid reduced rates not to produce electricity, a deal that should save about $200 million a year. It sounds like a Monty Python sketch, but the problem is electricity generated at these volumes can’t be stored. Ontario has sold excess electricity to neighbouring jurisdictions such as New York state.

Sometimes the province has paid Quebec or New York to take its excess electricity. It doesn’t…
