What “Community” Wind Farms are really like

The Aussies are setting up to rid themselves of the faux-green politicians who have helped
the windscammers.

stopthesethings's avatarSTOP THESE THINGS

As STT readers know all too well – the wind weasel is low.  But the lowest of the low are those kings of smarm that promote and run so called “Community” wind farms.

Here’s the tragic tale of a “Community” wind farm at Fairhaven, Massachusetts in the US – as told by the victims.

We covered the promo for it in our post “Monsters Inc” which was dedicated to the people who spend their lives lying to the innocent and deceiving hard working rural people.

As we said of the promo – if you fail to be moved by the accounts of these people you probably have a serious personality disorder – “sociopath” might just catch it.

Which accounts – we think – for the fact that the goons that work for wind weasels keep turning up on Mondays – oblivious to the misery they…

NexTerror & Northland bullies strike fear into Bluewater council

We need to make sure at election time, that only anti-wind candidates are elected!!!

Esther Wrightman's avatarOntario Wind Resistance

next.JPGWhat a disaster! Last night Bluewater council passed the Building Permit changes unanimously without making a single modification! The IWT companies are happy for sure. For details of the by-law check here

Mayor Bill Dowson did not declare a conflict until the last 5 min. of the meeting and led the meeting for the 3 hours until the vote. He asked the very first leading questions to Lawyer Gillespie, which were clearly asked to support his agenda. When he declared a conflict it was after being asked about his prior conflicts (with the same by-law) and he said it was about building permits not IWT. Clearly all the changes from the original were solely for IWT and due to Nextera and Northland negotiations with Bluewater. Two by-laws were passed the amended building permit fee and the decommissioning and it was the latter Bill Dowson had a conflict on. Councillors Klopp…

Christopher Booker on Alan Jones

Every windweasel, in every country, claims that the country they are in, are the only ones to complain!

stopthesethings's avatarSTOP THESE THINGS

Chris Booker was interviewed by Alan Jones this morning. Alan has a little radio show that more than just a few Australians tune into each morning. Syndicated through over 77 Stations and with close to 2 million listeners Countrywide – AJ as he’s known – is one of those people that leads the political charge on many issues that really affect ordinary Australians and which the rest of the press ignore.

For a truly brilliant interview click on the player below or watch the movie (non-flash devices). Chris raises the topic of diesel generators being used in the UK to keep the lights on when wind-watts go missing – which we covered – along with the same rort being run in South Australia – in our post Bobby thumbed a “Diesel” down.

Powerful ally: Wind opponents hail election of local activist as head of real estate board

So, who is the idiot that denies loss of property values? It is not hard to figure out…only windweasels like turbines.

Esther Wrightman's avatarMLWAG

Sarnia This Week
GRAND BEND – For months, Grand Bend Realtor Doug Pedlar has been voicing concerns about property values near industrial wind turbines. Now, he has a larger podium to speak from. Pedlar, who researched just how much homeowners lose when wind farms set up shop next door (about 30 per cent) is now the president-elect of the London/St. Thomas Real Estate Board. One of his first tasks was an eight-minute YouTube video about wind turbines and property values.

Pedlar says the London/ St Thomas board has been very worried about the issue, even pressing the provincial real estate association to speak to the province about the matter. “We’re quietly working away at this,” he says. But the volume is going up. The YouTube video had 500 hits in the first weekend and other real estate boards are posting the information session on their website. And Pedlar is pleased.

CTV News
Residents in the community of Belwood near Elora, are protesting a planned wind turbine project. Construction of four turbines near Bellwood will begin next year. Residents are afraid another 30 will follow. Janet Vallery and her neighbours believe the turbines will reduce the value of their property by half. “We’re battling all over rural Ontario supporting each other against the industrialization of rural Ontario.” Officials with Centre Wellington told the province it won’t willingly accept any more turbines. Better get a lawyer son, better get REAL good one

I hope all windweasels are paying attention….we are NOT going to let you get away with this scam!!!

stopthesethings's avatarSTOP THESE THINGS

With the wind industry in its death throes the only thing left is the small matter of compensating victims for all the physical and mental harm caused by its giant fans. Think of it as “the last round-up”.

The obvious cause of action – where noise from a neighbouring property causes sleep disturbance – is common law nuisance.  One man from Oregon in the US has just started proceedings citing nuisance and trespass. The tort of nuisance is alive and well in Australia – it’s what gets late-night music venues in cities and suburbs shut down all the time.

But STT’s pretty sure that the tort of “trespass” is not open to plaintiffs suing wind developers or turbine hosts in Australia: here – “trespass” requires the interference with property to be physical and direct.

Here’s The Oregonian’s take on the case.

Sex, lies and videotape

For wind weasels nothing is sacred.  Not content with stealing from power punters – these boys will stab their best mates in the back and bonk whoever they need to – just to get at the fat pile of taxpayers’ cash on offer.  Here’s a Texan take on the tale.

Whistle-blower recounts red flags in Jonestown wind energy project
Austin American-Statesman
Ricardo Gandara
9 August 2013

Toby Miller had $14,000 and a close friendship at stake in the plan to bring wind energy to Jonestown.  But he couldn’t escape the conclusion that the man behind the plan, his friend and former fellow law enforcement officer Charles Malouff, was altering records to make the project fly.

Miller raised his concerns in August 2010, and was promptly fired from Malouff’s CM Alternative Energies, where he served as general operations manager.  He dashed off an email that was read aloud Thursday in Travis…

Turbines far from green

Rankin is an evil, lying, scoundrel, and the Regional Council should be able to see that!~

Esther Wrightman's avatarOntario Wind Resistance

protest-london-not-clean-not-green.jpgGrimsby Lincoln News
At the Aug. 1 regional council meeting I attended Mr. Tom Rankin was heard in a loud angry voice giving the entire council gallery the label of NIMBYs. Of course he did not include himself even though they are not being built in his backyard. Rankin continued spewing out his displeasure that council had the audacity to vote in favour of Wainfleet and West Lincoln declaring themselves unwilling hosts to wind turbines in their municipalities. A grateful thank you goes to those councillors who had that courage to recognize that Canada is a democracy.

There has been a back and forth argument whether wind turbines do cause serious health issues. But, on the other hand, gravely speaking why would people be leaving their beloved homes that they worked a lifetime for? Leaving their highest investment of their lifetime? The documented cases were not happy planned moves; on…
