Wind Farm Victims Vindicated: WHO Declares Turbine Noise ‘Serious Health Hazard’
The World Health Organization’s declaration that wind turbine noise is a serious health hazard, is a liability bombshell for developers and governments, alike.
No longer can wind power outfits and those that make a living running propaganda for them claim that ‘there’s nothing to see here, move on.’ The wind industry’s victims – mocked and denigrated for years – have been vindicated. Now comes the vengeance. Litigation is already on foot in Victoria, with more claims to follow.
The significance of the WHO’s new noise guidelines hasn’t been lost on STT Champions Alan Jones and Liberal MP, Craig Kelly.

Wind Turbine Time-Out: WHO’s Health Hazard Warning Prompts Demand for Immediate Wind Farm Moratorium
Connie Bonaros: fighting for South Australian lives and livelihoods.
The wind industry is what it is thanks to naïve, gullible and pliant politicians. But not every MP drank the Kool-Aid. One who didn’t is SA Best Member of the Legislative Council, Connie Bonaros.
South Australia is the place that set and met its very own ludicrous 50% Renewable Energy Target. For that it suffers the highest retail power prices in the world, mass load shedding and blackouts. This summer guarantees repeat performances of both, every time the sun sets and/or calm weather sets in. Portable generators will be the must have item come December.
Then there’s the destruction wreaked in South Australia’s rural communities, at places like Waterloo, Mt Bryan, Hallett and Jamestown.
Clearly concerned about her constituents, Connie use the World Health Organization’s new noise Guidelines (which declare wind turbine noise a serious health risk) as a pretty solid…

Want Reliable, Affordable CO2 Free Power? Then it’s Time to Grow Up & Go Nuclear
Anyone still banging on about CO2 emissions in the electricity generation sector, ought to be banging on about nothing other than nuclear power.
Nuclear power is the only, stand-alone generation source that can deliver reliable, affordable power without generating CO2 gas, in the process.
The fact that politicians in this Country talk about anything but nuclear power as a solution to Australia’s unfolding energy crisis, speaks volumes.
If CO2 gas really is the existential threat it’s made out to be, then nuclear power is the only solution.
With power prices rocketing out of control and a grid on the brink of collapse, Australia’s PM, Scott Morrison is starting to sound like a grown-up, at long last.
Whatever it takes: ScoMo prepared to go nuclear if it cuts power prices

Great Balls of Fire: More Terrifying Turbine Meltdowns Spell Serious & Unnecessary Bushfire Risk
As Australians brace for a searing summer, spare a thought for communities riddled with wind turbines: the perfect incendiary device.
First, we’ll take a look at a few ‘clean’-energy conflagrations in Europe.

Rhede. In the wind energy park in Rhede, a wind turbine is completely burned down by a fire in a power house. The operating company Windpark Rhede GmbH & Co. KG assumes that the resulting property damage could amount to up to 1.5 million euros. The fire department brought the fire equal to three missions.
According to the police, the fire broke out in the wind farm on Q-way in the northwest of the community at 3 clock on Friday morning. The fire had broken out in or at a machine house and had then spread to the entire plant. As…

Powering Australia: Keeping the Lights On Means Coal-Fired Power For Generations to Come
Australia is in the process of destroying what was the world’s most reliable and affordable power supply. The destruction is all down to heavily subsidised and chaotically intermittent wind and solar.
Meanwhile, our major Asian trading partners, China and Japan are chewing up Australian coal and uranium as fast as we can ship it – and building hundreds of new plants to use our high-grade thermal coal: Full-Steam Ahead: China & Japan Snub Intermittent Wind & Solar to Build Hundreds of New-Age Coal-Fired Plants
That a country once renowned as an affordable energy superpower is throttling itself to death with a cocktail of suicidal renewable energy policies, is not just ironic, it is flat out criminal.
Tens of thousands of blue-collar jobs in mining, mineral processing and manufacturing have already been destroyed by rocketing power prices; and tens of thousands more remain under threat. Once lost, those jobs will never…

Breakout the Candles: Chaotic Wind & Solar Mean More Mass Summertime Blackouts
The chaotic delivery of wind and solar has left Australia’s Eastern Grid on the brink of collapse. The Eastern Grid connects Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
Reliable coal-fired generators have been knocked out of the game, made uneconomic thanks to renewable energy policies that direct more than $3 billion a year in subsidies to wind and solar, and which give wind and solar preferential access to the grid.
The most recent losses – Victoria’s Hazelwood and South Australia’s Northern power plants – resulted in the removal of more than 2,200 MW of reliable supply, at a time when Australia needs it most.
When the sun sets and/or calm weather sets in, wind and solar power output collapses, like night follows day.
That (now routine) chaos has two immediate consequences: spot prices for power go through the roof; and the grid manager starts ‘dumping…

Coal Wins Power Price ‘War’: Adding Storage Renders Cost of Wind & Solar Astronomical
The myth that wind and solar are meaningful power sources was busted long ago. Quite apparently incapable of operating on their own, what purports to be the future of electricity generation turns out to be a pair of complete duds.
[Note to Ed: is this the part where we point out tricky facts such as sunset, cloudy days, breathless nights and the vagaries of the weather, more generally?]
As any good propagandist knows, selling a monstrous myth takes a solid dose of audacity and a superior command (some might say active abuse) of language.
The latest wheeze is “firming”; being a reference to reliable, dispatchable and controllable electricity generation sources.
[Note to Ed: do you mean like the system we’ve had in place for a century – ie coal, gas, stored hydro and, in those clever countries that have it, nuclear?].
When the term ‘firming’ first popped up in an…

Pointless Part-Time Power: Germany’s Readily Available Wind Power Capacity Less Than 1% of Total Installed Capacity
Zephyr in a thimble: total German wind power
output March 2011 to October 2017.
When it comes to actually delivering wind power, the real and the ideal are a gulf apart. In Australia, the average capacity factor (the ratio between actual output and nominal capacity) is just on 28% across the Eastern Grid, where 1,800 turbines with a total capacity of 5,100 MW have been speared across four states.
Actual output depends, of course, on the attitude of the Wind Gods, on any given day. Then there’s mechanical failures, maintenance and downtime, which increases pretty rapidly as these things age.
In Germany, the total number of turbines is pushing 30,000, with a total capacity of 56,000 MW. However, it turns out that those thousands of units are rarely available, at all.

Enemy Within: Virtue Signalling Renewable Energy Zealots Determined to Destroy Australia’s Economic Prosperity
Wind and solar is a purely political phenomenon: they have nothing to do with economics, instead, they’re all about virtue signalling.
In the absence of massive and endless subsidies, this wouldn’t even be a topic.
The idea that an economy can run on sunshine and breezes is, of course, patent nonsense. Debacles like South Australia, Ontario and Germany stand testament to the damage that can be very easily done by a deranged and determined few.
Driven by a religious fervour that would have made those in charge of the Spanish Inquisition blush, renewable energy zealots gain their purported license from hysterical claims about the tiny fraction of carbon dioxide gas generated by human activity.
The argument runs that in order to save the world from imminent incineration, we need to switch immediately to an all wind and sun powered future. Except, wherever that’s…
